Shake it Up!!!

Are you looking for a quick and easy breakfast or post-workout boost? Would you like it to taste like dessert? Who needs an Almond Joy bar. Try this super shake, courtesy of Precision Nutrition, with a few of Krista's modifications to lower the calories!

Almond Coconut Shake

Ingredients:
*1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder (such as Designer Whey or EAS, ~120 calories per scoop)
*1 cup chocolate 2%, skim, or soymilk (try Silk or 8th Continent)
*6 almonds
*Splenda, to taste
*1/2 tsp almond or coconut extract
*1 cup ice

Directions:
Combine all of the ingredients except the almonds in a blender and process until smooth and creamy. Add the almonds and process on low until just chopped.


Prep Time – 5 minutes
Servings -1

Calories: 250-300 (depending on milk choice)
Protein: 37 grams
Carbohydrates: 11 grams (5 grams fiber, 5 grams sugar)
Fat: 19 grams
